Senior Systems Engineer

About the role

The Senior System Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing IT infrastructure and solutions to meet global business needs. This role involves developing scalable architectures, ensuring seamless service delivery, and collaborating with cross- functional teams to align IT systems with business objectives. The Senior System Engineer drives technical excellence, fosters innovation, and ensures robust, future-proof IT environments that support organizational success.

An experienced IT professional with deep expertise in managing and maintaining diverse IT environments will be responsible for the following main duties:

• IT Infrastructure Management
• Security & Compliance
• System Administration & Monitoring
• Networking & Configuration
• Operating System Management
• Cloud & Security Tools
• Reporting & Documentation
• Committed to continuous learning and adopting emerging technologies to enhance IT operations

Experience & Knowledge

At least 5 years in a position as a Senior System Engineer.

The candidate should have deep expertise in managing diverse IT environments, which includes,

• Windows and Linux servers
• AWS infrastructure
• Enterprise networking
• Configuring and managing VPNs
• Intune
• Security products like firewalls and antivirus
• Endpoint management BMC Helix Client Management (BCM) or BMC Helix Discovery
• Azure Portal
• Terraform
• Hyper-V, VMware
• Administering Teams, Active Directory, SharePoint, Exchange, Office 365
• Sophos firewalls

Skills

• Strong leadership skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills - ability to interact and communicate with diverse teams.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
• Knowledge of current IT trends and emerging technologies.
• Knowledge of network infrastructure, security, and data protection.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of IT Service Management tools like BMC Helix ITSM
• Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, MCSA, MCSE, AWS Certified) are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or relevant degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
